Planning the BIG 30 – Series

Oh. Hello 2019.

We’re a third of the way through (how on earth did that happen?!) which means my birthday is fast approaching.

This is a bit of a funny one to be writing. This year I turn 30. T-H-I-R-T-Y. Oh my. Spelling it out doesn’t make it feel any less daunting. I love a birthday and love planning parties so this year I fully intend to mark this occasion with a bang!

Spontaneously last year we booked tickets to go and see Lady Gaga at her residency in Las Vegas this June. She is my favourite artist of all time and the last time I saw her I passed out with excitement so I’m hoping that I can compose myself this time and get through the whole show without causing a scene.

It’s quite daunting to be leaving Baby M for a week but he’ll have a whale of a time with his grandparents I‘m sure!
Flights and hotel prices kept fluctuating. Annoyingly I saw them cheaper than when I booked but c’est la vie! I’m definitely one who spends weeks searching for a bargain when it comes to hotels and flights, taking advantage of remarketing advertising after I have visited a site and those pesky cookies can help out massively! Having worked in and researched a lot about the travel industry I’ve picked up a few tips along the way.

I’m going to make a little series of 30th birthday posts, I think I’ll break them down into things on our to do list, my wardrobe must haves , must try food and activities for Vegas and then ideas for my actual birthday (and 4th wedding anniversary (we got married on my birthday!)) in July.

Both Mr M and I have been to Las Vegas before (separately) so we know what to expect. We’re both super excited as it’s somewhere we’ve always wanted to go and enjoy together. I am so ready for the sensory overload!

Hope you come along for the ride and if even one person finds these posts useful that will make my day!
